Secured by Design which is a police accredited scheme to ensure new developments are safe and hopefully free from crime is a new initiative that has been around for the last few years. To help reduce crime a designated police officer in the region where new the development is situated will review a scheme to confirm that all elements from garage door, windows, locks and exterior lighting meeting the Secured by Design requirements.
