Pease Pottage Lighting Designs
Working with Redrow Homes in 2012, MMA Lighting Consultancy Ltd provided Section 38 and Section 278 lighting designs for Old Brighton Road, Horsham Road and the on site housing development in accordance with the current West Sussex County Council PFI design specification.
Section 38
The on site section 38 works comprised of 5m WSCC specification lighting columns with the WRTL/Philips Libra 36w PL-L lantern and Mayflower remote monitoring nodes to a P4 lighting class. As part of the design process the lighting design was technically approved by SSE (PFI Providers for WSCC), MMA Lighting Consultancy Ltd provided the following: –
- Lighting design layout.
- Lighting Calculation using industry standard lighting reality software.
- Lighting Connection schedule.
- Method statement and risk assessment, tailored for the client
- Environmental report.
Section 278
The off site section 278 works comprised of two schemes, one for Old Brighton Road which utilised 6m WSCC specification lighting columns with the WRTL/Philips Libra 36w PL-L lantern and Mayflower remote monitoring nodes to a P4 lighting class. The second section of the scheme used 8m WSCC specification lighting column with the WRTL/Philips ARC lantern to a CE3 lighting class.

During a recent site visit to work on another lighting design near the entrance to the Pease Pottage Services, our engineer who visited site thought it was a good opportunity to take some photographs of the installed lighting whilst in the area.
